4月中OPT timeline (211号段）

4月13 寄出 （start date 7月9号）
4月15 recieved
4月17 收到短信notice
4月24 收到paper notice
开启漫长等待
6月8 所在号段开始大规模审批
6月11 所在号段已批25%，抱着试一试的想法找emma，申请expedite
6月15 expedite被拒，没有说原因，以为还没assign。同天联系所在地区3个议员（Ted Cruz, John Cornyn, Al Green), 所在号段已批33%
6月16 早上收到Ted Cruz office的email，说job offer alone does not satisfy the financial loss criterion, 说OPT不是给F-1用来赚钱的，是为了gain practical experience。。。应该是让我要一封HR的letter，focus在公司的loss
原文：
“For Work Authorization expedite requests of any type, a job offer alone does not satisfy the financial loss criterion. In case the following applies to your situation, please note that the Potomac Service Center has advised it not consider an OPT expedite request based on personal financial loss: "The primary goal of Curricular Practical Training (CPT), pre-completion Optional Practical Training (pre-OPT), and post-completion Optional Practical Training (post-OPT) is for the students to gain practical experience in their field of study, not to earn money for living expenses or to fund their studies. It must be noted that F-1 students are required to establish that they have the financial ability to pay for their course of study and living expenses for the entire period of study as indicated on their I-20, thus they often cannot claim financial hardship due to the very nature of their nonimmigrant status and maintenance thereof.”

一个小时后，USCIS网站上状态更新 New card is being produced，应该不是议员的作用

PS1：大家找议员时最好可以附带一封公司的letter，只是job offer letter作用有限（我的情况）
PS2：德州的话，貌似Ted Cruz回复快一些。够难为他了，一面带头反华，反OPT，一面还要“尽职尽责”帮我申请OPT

变approved大概两天，我是周三还是周四变的approved，现在还没寄出去。。。。。
