纽约市的凶杀案发生率创下了五年来的新高

NYPD犯罪数据显示，与去年同期相比，枪击犯罪总数增加了42％，到目前为止，已有166起凶杀案，而2019年同期有134起。这意味着凶杀案同比增长了24％，与五年前相比，增长了2.5％。而导致这一切发生的一大因素是纽约市的司法系统出现“内爆”，因受疫情影响，司法系统关闭，这使得持枪犯罪无法得到及时起诉，监狱崩溃导致犯人从监狱中释放出来后直接跑到街上去，陷入无家可归的境地，案件延期审理妨碍了纽约警察们阻止罪行发生。

NYPD crime data shows that compared with the same period last year, the number of shooting crimes has increased by 42%. So far, there have been 166 homicides, compared with 134 in the same period in 2019. This means that homicides have increased by 24% year-on-year and 2.5% compared with five years ago. It is now absurd that there is currently no system to monitor those released from prison, and often we don’t even know where they are.
