Tencent Games has openings for full time Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Database Administer (DBA):

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE):
Responsibility:
Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services, from designing, analyzing to deployment and optimization.
Support services between development and operations by applying a software engineering mindset to system administration topics, able to measure and monitor availability, latency and overall system health.
Allocate time to operations/on-call duties and developing systems and software that help increase site reliability and performance.

Requirements:
2+ years of  experience in  the fields of Computer Science or Software Engineering.
Advanced degree preferred, Master and above or equivalent proven experiences
Hands-on experience with at least one of the following languages: C, C++, Java, Python, or Go
Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
Problem-solving driven. Strong ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks.
Mother tongue is Chinese or talk in Chinese smoothly


Database Administer (DBA):
Responsibility:
Focused on the development and integration of the Data Platform.
Build components that glue the pipeline together and integrate with 3rd party and open source systems such as Spark and Hadoop.
Plan, develop, and maintain massively scaled systems that handle billions of messages each day.
Requirements:
. check 1point3acres for more.2+ years of experience building and supporting large scale distributed applications
Advanced degree preferred, Master and above or equivalent proven experiences
Expertise in Java, Scala, or another JVM based language
Demonstrable ability to rapidly learn and master complex systems and their codebase
Experience with private or public cloud infrastructure ( Tencent Cloud/ OpenStack/ AWS / GCP / Azure)
Experience with at least one of the following: distributed NoSQL stores (HBase, Cassandra), large scale data processing frameworks (Spark, Hive),  Experience with stream processing frameworks (Spark Streaming)


Location:
Los Angeles/Palo Alto (COVID19 period: open to remote work; have to be physically in US)
