Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) is a satellite university of Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, locating in Shantou, China. Technion is world-renowned for its exceptional research and education. Since 2004, three faculty members in Technion received the Nobel prize, consistently ranked as a top-100 university. All MSc and Ph.D. students are enrolled at Technion and co-advised by a Technion faculty member. MSc and Ph.D. students will spend one to two semesters at Technion for courses, while performing research at GTIIT. With the completion of a thesis, students will receive the diploma awarded by Technion.

About the Group （课题组简介）
Dr. Youhua Jiang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Jiang received his Ph.D. from Stevens Institute of Technology in 2018, followed by the postdoctoral training at Northwestern University. Dr. Jiang specializes in Interfacial Phenomena, including various research directions such as interfacial fluid dynamics, phase-change heat transfer, colloids and interfaces, and physical chemistry. Dr. Jiang has authored nearly 20 papers in the leading journals of Interfacial Phenomena, including Physical Review Letters, Applied Physics Letters, Langmuir, Soft Matter, and J. Colloid and Interface Science. Dr. Jiang served on the Editorial Board of Surface Innovations, a JCR-Q2 Journal, and served as reviewer for 19 journals.
姜又华博士从2020年10月开始在GTIIT担任机械系助理教授。他博士毕业于斯蒂文斯理工，并在西北大学接受博士后训练。该课题组着力于研究界面现象，微流体，相变换热，胶体与界面等。姜博士已发表近20篇论文，大多发表在该领域顶级期刊，一作包括PRL, APL, Langmuir, Soft Matter, JCIS等，并担任JCR二区期刊Surface Innovations的编委及19个期刊的审稿人。

Recruitment Information and Criteria （招生招聘信息及要求）
Openings（职位）
There are 3-4 openings for fully funded MSc and Ph.D. students, 3-4 openings for Research Assistants, and 1-2 openings for Postdoctoral Fellows. 该课题组招3-4个硕士博士生，3-4个科研助理，1-2个博士后。
Criteria（要求）
1.        Students enrolled in the Mechanical Engineering Department are required to complete the GRE. The Analytical Writing of GRE needs to be no less than 3.5. Exceptional students without GRE scores can join the group as Research Assistants, and officially apply later. GTIIT是欧美体系学校，申请需要提供GRE成绩。如还没有GRE成绩，可以先以科研助理身份入职再考。GRE的写作需要不低于3.5。
2.        Applicants should have a robust educational background in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal and Power, Aerospace, Ocean Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mineral Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and/or Applied Mathematics. The minimal average undergraduate scores for MSc and Ph.D. programs are 83 and 85, respectively. Completion of a Master’s degree is required to apply to the Ph.D. program. Exceptional students without a Master’s degree can first enroll in the MSc program, then transfer to the Ph.D. program upon completion. 背景需要跟机械、能动、航空、化工、应用数学相关。申请硕士和博士生需要平均成绩分别大于83和85。申请博士一般需要硕士学历，特别优秀的学生可以以硕士身份先入学再转博。
3.        Letters of recommendation from 3 faculty members who can evaluate the student. 3封来自老师的推荐信。
4.        Regarding Ph.D. and MSc positions, personal interview conducted by the Faculty Graduate Studies Sub-committee where both English language capability and academic background will be verified. Acceptance or Rejection will be determined by the committee. 对于硕士和博士的申请，研究生院招生委员会会面试申请人，并决定是否录取。
5.        Applicants for the Ph.D. program or Postdoc should have the listed research experience:
a.        Fluid Dynamics and/or Computational Fluid Dynamics
b.        Thermal-Fluids and/or Thermophysics
c.        Interfacial Phenomena, Microfluidics, and/or Soft Matter
申请博士或者博士后需要有流体力学，工程热物理，微流体，界面现象之一的经历。

Salary and Benefits（工资与待遇）
Fully funded students（硕博生）: a full tuition stipend, which covers 100,000 RMB per year, will be provided; allowance for housing; a salary for Ph.D. students in a range from 82,000 to 130,000 and MSc students in a range from 57,000 to 82,000. 免学费，住学生高级公寓，博士年薪8万2到13万，硕士5万7到8万2。报销往返以色列机票。
Postdocs（博后）: not less than 250,000 RMB per year supported by the group + supports from other sources. 博后年薪不低于25万，可议。
Research assistant and visiting students （科研助理）: 一事一议
At GTIIT, you will receive rigorous scientific training, responsible mentoring, abundant academic resources, and exposure to the international research community.

我是姜教授本人。本课题组科研启动经费非常充足，且学生的工资、及在学校的居住和生活条件非常优越。硕士博士生就是以色列理工的学生，不过所有的钱是由我支付，主要导师是我，主要做科研的场所在广东汕头的广东以色列理工。因此，学生的入学虽然由我推荐，但是最终是由以色列理工的招生委员会决定，他们对学生的背景，GPA，或者研究经历的要求很高，而且需要视频面试。不过从学生的角度出发，大多数时间在中国做科研，拿着不菲的工资，最终拿全世界前100的以色列理工的学位，这个机会还是非常难得的。

应该是2019年ARWU上海交通大学世界大学学术排名，不过2020年好像排名又掉了一些。

谢谢提问。正如楼下同学所说，是2019年的ARWU排名。以色列理工排85。我也刚知道2020年ARWU排名出来了，以色列理工降了一些，属于101-150名，在以色列国内排第2。

之前见过姜教授。姜教授人特别好，做的东西也前沿。
