一个叫Aron的开发商在北Sunnyvale开发了一个新的townhouse楼盘（离新开的Magic bridge不远，路过时发现水泥地基已经完工了）
因为是在Superfund的上面，所以county有一些特殊的环保要求，比如说要要用vapor barrier隔绝受到污染的土壤
然后这个开发商没有拿到County关于这方面的许可就强行开工，City发现后叫停了施工，说必须等拿到许可才能开工
这个开发商就在Sunnyvale city hall搞绝食，已经第八天了（从视频里看不像是饿了八天的样子）真是绝了
Aron解释是vapor barrier已经安好了，只是没有拿到approval（有点像上学时没带作业说没写。。。）到底有没有装只有他自己知道了
我也是不搞工程的，不知道这个vapor barrier是不是要放在土地和地基之间导致现在已经无法检查了？项目delay应该是很常见的吧 无法想象一个builder为了这个事在city hall 一哭二闹三上吊的

作为Sunnyvale居民还是要给City点赞，想必City受到的压力也不小，但（目前）没有因为builder的压力而妥协，一直维持这种高标准才能让大家放心在Sunnyvale安居乐业

Dear **,
Thank you for your email regarding the Aron Place development. While I wish Council could claim credit for the outcome here, really this was the work of our excellent city staff, who handled a highly unusual situation with grace and professionalism.

That said, I agree with your assessment completely. Given the number of contaminated sites from the old chipfabs in northeast Sunnyvale, any compromise on the safety of the vapor barrier would in my opinion be completely unacceptable. It is a developer's responsibility to understand and follow the rules. They should not expect leniency when they fail to do so—especially when such leniency would threaten the health and safety of our current or future residents.

简单搜了一下，貌似vapor barrier是否有用是可以事后检查出来的。开发商这么着急，应该还是最近房子跌太厉害了，再等下去要赔本了。

小红书上还有好几个agent为开发商打抱不平，我就不点名了

看起来那开发商是烙印？也学国内那套一哭二闹三上吊lol

挺好的。垃圾奸商就早点倒闭吧。想坑普通卖家吗。

而且买这个盘的多半是第一次买房的小白，也算是见证builder如何割韭菜的了

大家对绝食这个词其实有很深的误解……其实，绝食不等于不吃饭，有兴趣的小伙伴可以自己谷歌。

我个人觉得他这是愿赌服输。这不过现在是不想服输阶段。
