No specified research advisor. Thelength of study is 20 months. 3) Why do I chose USA and UM: Though the marketprospects of micro-electronics in China was quite good, the lack of outstandingfaculty and research fund made it less attractive. With the strongest educational resources worldwide, USA became a properdestination for me to pursue a Master degree in electrical engineering. Ranked as one ofthe best in America, University of Michigan can provide me a vast array ofchallenging opportunities to gain deeper understandings in electricalengineering. According to the investigation carried by China SemiconductorIndustry Association (CSIA), in the last decade China’s semiconductor compoundgrowth rate has reached 19.2%, much higher than the world average (6.2%).It is predicable that more professional and skilled IC designer and systemarchitect is needed for this expanding market. My graduate study on circuitdesign and programming will make me well-qualified for these positions. In addition, my parents live in China.
