HKUST programming language/software engineering recruit

Dear students,

If you are a third year student going to fourth year and you'd like to later pursue a PhD degree in the area of programming languages/program analysis/software engineering, please consider joining the Prism research group, a group of energetic, friendly, and fun researchers.

We are looking for applicants who are strong in both programming and mathematics, self-motivated, keen in making the process of programming easier, and interested in publishing research papers.   

There are a few good reasons for pursuing a PhD in HKUST vs. in other places such as the great USA:

1. The computer science department at HKUST is consistently ranked the best in Asia and one of the top places in the world. My group conducts the world-class research and constantly publishes at top international venues.  The Prism research group is local in China and, yet, retains good international visibility.  

2. Every PhD student is guaranteed with either RAship or TAship at around 14K HKD per month, which ensures a comfortable student life in the HKUST campus, which is perhaps the most beautiful campus in Asia.

3. I closely work with everyone in the group as a supervisor, a collaborator and a friend. The research atmosphere is energetic, technology-oriented, team-oriented, and fun.
