This proposal should be greatly appraised. In the past century, US has maintained its global influence in the world by defending the human rights of everyone. Everyone should be treated with dignity no matter what his/her background is. Moreover, US needs this diverseness of cultural backgrounds to spread its essential values to the world. If all these young international graduates are treated with lies and lack of empathy, it will do more harm than benefits to the US fellows. For example, most international students are paying much higher tuitions in order to keep more domestic students receiving their education in schools. Offering recent graduates an opportunity to get work experience at US companies also benefits these companies and the society. The approval of this rule will also attract more talented students coming in and thus maintain US's global competitiveness. In such a high-tech society, one innovation could usually change the world.

1.OPT是吸引大家来美国的原因。因为中国学生大多只是想要工作经历，1年做不出东西的，否则大家就会去别的地方了。
2. 1年话公司也不会给什么任务，OPT extension也是对公司好
It is shortsighted to eliminate the STEM OPT extension. Some commenter insist that company tend to hire international students in a low salary. However this is not the fact. Employer will be sued if discriminate the international students and hire them in a low salary. What is more, if the OPT
.. extension is canceled, a lot of international students will give up pursuing college or master degree in America. Many Chinese students had a  chance to pursue master degree in many countries, such as Canada, Hong Kong and so on. OPT is the most attraction for them(including me). In fact, most students in China just want work experience in the US and then go back to China. They have family, friends over there. An extension of OPT will attract them more. A one year in company can help them a little. Maybe one can just get adjust to the life in company and learn nothing before he leave the company and devoted to the company. Company can not give international students big tasks because one year can make little effort to a huge tasks. But a 12 months regular + 24months will solve the technical problem. So I think a STEM OPT extension is beneficial to the company as well.

I support this extension of the STEM F-1 students. The main reason is, United Status is a country built by immigrants, and one of the most important reason that US is the strongest country in the world, is because it is attracting and welcoming people with talent and professional skills from all over the world. Here, we are not even talking about luring experts from other country, we are talking about thousands of young men and women who ALREADY TOOK U.S. ADVANCED EDUCATION for several years! So we spend the world's greatest teaching & training resources to educate them, and then kicking them back to their home countries because we "worry about they may take our job"? This is completely joke! Young labor, especially well educated young labor is the most valuable resource in the world, and every country is fighting hard for them, like China just repeal their single child policy in order to boost their young population. If you just want your job security, go live in some island country where there are less than 100 population, so that no one can take your job! Btw, here I also disclaim that personally I am not under F-1 Nonimmigrant status thus I won't take any benefit from this.

I am a student who is deciding to study in USA. Recently, I watch a series called America---The Story of Us. I know that the development of America is really a miracle. Generations of American people fighted for truth and freedom, among those people, huge amount were immigrations. I believe that the diversity of people made great contribution to the nation. What’s more, it’s diversity and freedom make America what it is like today. The frontier of technology and different thoughts convergence into the whole.

I am longing for study in America and felt the spirits of America. You know, it costs a lot to study in USA. After I finish my study, when I come back to my country, I hope to be competitive and mature disposition. I believe study in America not only means learning a lot, but also means accumulating enough professional skills, which can be achieved through internship and working experience. One of the reasons why it is attractive to study in USA is that you provide us the opportunity to gain enough professional skills.
