I came to the United State appreciating the "American Dream", dreaming I could devote tons of efforts, but never realized it's growing into the terrible notion to build this once wonderland into a dungeon where people gather together celebrating seclusion and prioritizing themselves. Please help the "Einstein"s survive, we are here to contribute, not to wrestle with the opportunities, which are plenty out there and deserve the striving work of all of us, be it the citizens or not. And THAT is the essence of this charming country would stand on the Earth.

As an international student, I sincerely appreciate of the efforts DHS has put into this codified rule, I have just secured an appointment carrying out leading research in health care and rehabilitation based on latest technologies. Without OPT and extension for us STEM students, it would be rather difficult for this and many alike research plans to expand and sustain whatsoever. That I heart-fully request this rule to be approved by the next February. Thank you in advance for your consideration!

I do support the extension of the OPT for F1 students.
I'm a native American and I was really shocked by the negative comments under this rule... I worked in IT industry for nearly 12 years, and have met a lot of foreign students mainly from China and India. I know one thing about these people: they are intelligent, diligent and kind!
. ----I reviewed many comments arguing that these students robed job opportunities from citizens and I think this is ridiculous. If two candidates have the same interview review while applying the same position, the citizen candidate would have a much bigger chance of getting hired than foreign student, because the citizen doesn't need to apply for working visa and thus the company don't have to cover the application expense for him. So while you guys yelling about competitive foreign students 'robbing' working opportunities from you, why don't you take that time and learn some real skills??
There is no doubt that many of the foreign students have very impressive skills, so why don't hire them to help us develop USA to be a better country? Imagine if these intelligent people not getting hired and they turned to other countries, as time goes by, I believe that American IT companies cannot survive in the world-wide competition because many of the best people are working for countries like India and China.
Overall, I can't see any reason to reject these intelligent people out of USA.

I strongly SUPPORT OPT extension Because if OPT extension is canceled, not only more talented international students will leave USA, but American's education industry will be affected. Try to image that: even you graduate from top universities in USA, you hardly can find a good job. Will you choose to leave your home and study there? In this way, less talented students will choose to study and make contribute to America. This is a double lose.

1jz-8m5t-vrjl 说了下身边比较多的STEM留学生创业， 提出这些人非但不会抢美国人的饭碗，反而会给美国人创造饭碗，刺激美国经济。
明天再拿美国人的身份发几条。这种时候自己人不帮自己人，就没有人再来帮我们了

已经评论完毕：主要的意思是，延期OPT和移民没有任何关系。我觉得最好举一些例子，比如我身边的国际学生，10个当中有8个说未来3年内会回国，在美国工作只是想有个工作经验，
因为他们的家庭、家人、朋友都在国内，所以未来肯定会回去。
