I don’t know why so many Americans oppose to this rule and think the STEM students steal their jobs. I would suggest you guys go to the colleges and see how many percentages of American students are studying the STEM majors. It’s truth that most of Americans do not like to study STEM and work in these fields, and that’s why we do not have enough STEM workers and have to keep the international STEM students working here. Do you think the US government is stupid enough to hand over job opportunities to foreigners but not American workers? Then why they don’t hand over Business or Art jobs but only STEM jobs? I think the rational and intelligent things for the Americans to do now is to think about how to make more Americans to study STEM so that we don’t need those foreign workers in the near future. Complaining here doesn’t make any sense at all!

As a potential international student, I strongly support this proposal. Actually, although I always want to have the studying abroad experience, I haven't decide which country I would like to go. There are many options, England, Australia, Canada, America, Singapore and so on. The reason I prefer America is that it provides students opportunities to practice what we learned from school during our studying and after we graduate from school. In addition, having three years' working experience in the US would be a big plus for me after I get back to my own country. If there are no such opportunities for international students any more, then America would be less attractive to me. After all, the tuition and life expense in America is almost the most expensive for international students among these countries. I would rather choose a country that is nicer and cheaper to international students to achieve my studying abroad dream.
