To all those yelling "give my job back":
I know, they took your job. However, I wonder if you would rather see those educated and skilled people live in the US and spend their hard earned dollar here or see your job go overseas? Again, either way, your job is gone, believe me. They are smarter, work harder and ask for less, who would not hire them over you? How can you compete? Wake up, American, the global economy means you have to compete with people no matter where they are. I would rather them join us than beat us. We are becoming a nation of wussy......

I totally support the extension of OPT. True, I am a STEM student with F-1 visa, so that I sure am willing to see this new policy. But what I want to say today is that this policy is not just beneficial to us, but also beneficial to America.

1. America does need High-tech people, no matter local student or F-1 students. My major is computer engineering, which means I will work in IT industry in the future. I do understand that IT companies will need people who focus on many different areas, and some of these areas do not have that many local American experts. With F-1 students and OPT extension policy, we will be able to fill in this blank.

2. Some people worries that F-1 students will take the job opportunities from local American's hands. I would like to point out that F-1 is a non-immigrant Visa. Most of the F-1 students are not seeking opportunities to stay in America. What we are hoping is to get a degree from school, and get a year or two's working experience, and then go home. With the number of F-1 students and the time they stay in the States, I highly doubt that there will be many jobs occupied by us.

With the points stated above, I high support the extension of OPT, for America and for me.
