收到Delaware的一封信，请教各位该怎么回比较合适？

Thank you for your interest in the Graduate Programs of the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Delaware.

You have applied for the Master of Science Degree program with a Concentration in Computer Systems and Networking, which is a research degree requiring a Thesis.  Students in the Thesis option degree program are expected to carry out original, publishable research in collaboration with their advisor.

There are very limited Thesis advisement opportunities available within the Department and therefore limited acceptances to those programs.  We can possibly admit you under the non-Thesis option which is a courses-only degree with no departmental funding provided.  For the non-Thesis option you would take 10 courses (30 credits) instead of 8 courses (24 credits) plus the Thesis (6 credits).

当时填的是Thesis option，现在被建议non-Thesis。心里还是想去的，请教有经验的前辈或同学，怎样回复比较合适？
另，地里申Delaware的似乎不多？不知道Delaware具体情况怎么样？

其实我也不太了解，只能跟你说下我最近知道的。从排名上来看，EE专业排名50多，学术还不错的样子。Delaware前辈说就业情况一般，大家毕业后大多去湾区找工作。浏览了地里很多信息，发现如果不是牛校和地理位置极好（加州），就业还是靠自己努力。。。所以，Delaware也是个选择吧。

我问的时候说我以后要考虑phd，他说如果你要读本校phd必须在ms期间找到老师要你，但是不保证会有老师要

就回复接受non-thesis就行了，找科研的机会不一定非要走thesis track，non-thesis也可以选indepent study来找机会，只要找到合适的老板是不是thesis track无所谓

关于Delaware你可以参考我之前写的院系介绍，虽然是CS的，你们EE不错比CS钱多

我回复过了，说愿意考虑，然后他就说棒！会告知系里，大概过几个星期出结果。。。虽然是这么回的，然而感觉并不一定会去了。。。

看来这种no-thesis 果然不好找导师啊…我也答应了，但也觉得不一定会去

看来各位都不太想去。。。其实如果就业不错的话我还是挺想去的。。。
