在OPT结束之前如果没有得到确切的H1B结果，还能继续工作吗？

求问，我的OPT结束时间是在今年的5月10号，如果在5月10号之前我还没有得到确切的是否中签的消息，那么在等待结果的这段时间，我还能继续工作吗？我不是STEM。

我跟你一样 5月14号过期 我是把I129的scan和送包裹的receipt发给学校 学校会发一个新的I20到6月1号 如果收到USCIS的receipt 再把那个scan发给学校 会延到9月30号 这个是我的情况 具体你可以联系下你的学校看什么规定

No problem, and here I can give you the notification from my school, I didn't apply that because I am still in OPT-ext. It's only for students in our school, but I think it should be similar process:

This message is being sent to all students currently on Optional Practical Training from any F-1 program at Johns Hopkins University.  It includes information on how to apply for a Cap Gap I-20, which may be needed if you are the beneficiary of an application for a cap-subject H-1 visa.  

If you are on authorized post-completion (either initial or STEM) OPT that ends between April 1 and September 29 and are the beneficiary of an accepted application for a cap-subject H-1 visa, you may receive an extension of both your F-1 status and OPT until September 30.   Wait to make your request for the Cap Gap I-20 until you have received the receipt from USCIS that your H-1B application has been accepted for processing*.  We do not see the record of your H-1B application in SEVIS until you have received the receipt.

If you meet the requirements for a Cap Gap extension and have received your receipt notice, you must complete our online ‘Cap Gap I-20 Request’ form.  You may access the form as follows:
                                                                           
Go to iHopkins (https://ihopkins.jhu.edu)
Click on the 'Limited Services' link on the right side of the page.
On the next page, please use these credentials to log in

Once logged in, expand the ‘F-1 Practical Training’ menu.
Click on ‘Cap Gap I-20 Request’ form.
Complete and submit the ‘Cap Gap I-20 Request’ form.  We will be unable to process and issue your Cap Gap I-20 without the information you provide on this form.  Please DO NOT complete and submit any other form you may see in the menu - doing so will likely delay the processing of your I-20.

Once submitted, we will produce the new I-20 and send it to you.  Please allow at least 2 weeks for this process.

*Note:  If you have OPT which is expiring before you will receive your USCIS receipt, please contact OIS at ois@jhu.edu for special instructions.  Please put “CAP GAP with Expiring OPT” in the heading.

Look at this, I think you'd better contact your school directly (don't send email, just call them now)

对，我的OPT结束日期是5月10号。我是给我学校发邮件延长了OPT到6月1号，学校告诉我说如果等待期间中签了的话，可以再延长到9月30号。所以到6月1号这段期间等于说是给的多余的等待时间。正常来讲如果你不申请，貌似就不行，还是只能工作到OPT截止日期。6月2号这个日期是公司的律师告诉我的，具体我也不知道为什么他会得出来一个6月2号这个日子。。。但是他邮件里说我可以工作到2号，所以我现在就打算工作到6月2号为止。。。

Yeah, do it now, asap, you can work on that until you receive the notification from USCIS
