还有谁现在对上课已经看开了的

国内风平浪静，这两天都去看那个矿难奇迹了，呵呵，“奇迹”

    比上课更重要的事情还有哪些要做？对于硕士适用吗？可否透露点经验？

其实我还在纠结，还是努力争取高gpa
话说回来，美国教授打分还是挺松的，至少在purdue和gatech都是这样。但是作业却是非常的难，有很多时候我都花很多时间做作业，然后纠结的觉得自己学的很烂，最后还是能够拿到A的
尤其是现在研究生的课，每次在平均分以上一些就可以拿到a了

我现在ta一门课numerical method，那门课的教授是mit毕业的。可是打分超松的，他和我说课堂测验3分，1分是给写的名字，2分是只要你尝试了就行，3分是答案正确。其实那些题目都不难。

这位教授每次给我的判作业的solution都有错误，我每次都要自己修改，所以他对学生要求也不高。美国教育的亮点是培养学生独立思考和解决问题的能力，可能学习知识的效率没有以前中国填鸭背诵的方式快，但是能够真正学习到受益一生的技能。

I heard a presentation from a VP of ExxonMobil.

He told us it is very unlikely to replace fossil fuel/oil usage completely. Even though all the universities and research centers spend days and days working on renewable energy and speak confidently about their new approach for creating more renewable energy, none of them would truly believe the possibility of independence of oil after closing the door.

From their company's perspective, besides petroleum, biofuel(ethanol/biodiesel) would most likely be a feasible alternative. He told us that solar cell research is not a focus for ExxonMobil b/c of the high cost and low efficiency. However, solar cell has been a hot area for University Researches.

Btw, may I ask your advisor's name? How famous he/she is in this area?

我老板就是UD的。UD做无机solar的就那么几个人。
