我的sop，求指导。

I am a senior undergraduate and the program that attracts me most is integrated circuit design. This persistence originates from the curiosity during my childhood when I dismantled my father’s laptop. I was very surprised at various boards within the laptop and wondering why these peculiar boards can help our human finish tasks.

This query clung to me until I became an undergraduate who chose Electrical Science and Technology as my major. During the first three years’ study, I learned several core courses like Semiconductor Physics and Devices, CMOS Analysis and Design, Digital Circuit and so forth. More importantly, these courses aroused my wish to regard IC design as my career because I knew that integrated circuit was so powerful that it was able to help our human finish various time-consuming tasks like repetitive work. We could also manipulate a Robot that consists of various circuits to finish our work under harsh environments like space.

During the second year as a sophomore, I was directed by Researcher Bu to finish some programs about vacuum system. I learned how to fit a vacuum system and how it operated. I also learned how to design a controller of humidity and temperature under vacuum conditions. During the third year, two of my classmates and I decided to participate in worldwide Interdisciplinary Contest In Modeling. We chose C problem that was so-called the most difficult problem as our task. Our issue was about how to identify conspirators in a crime group on the basis of their words, which is called semantic analysis. C problem also gave us an example talking about how they found the potential criminals according to their own model and required us to establish a model that coincided with theirs as much as possible. After two days’ discussing, we associated analytical hierarchy process(AHP) with semantic analysis to establish our model and we used the given example to test our model afterwards. The results we derived when we tested our model using the example basically accorded with the given results. We were also designated as Meritorious Winner for our industriousness.

I always regard designing integrated circuit with better performance as my career goal. I wish I can devote myself wholly to the graduate study because IC design is my interest. I will strive to design lower power circuits that consume only solar energy in order to save energy that could be used in any other necessary domain because of the worldwide energy crisis. I wish I could create functional and powerful circuits that cost little. I ever encountered an old man who was sweeping the street in the early morning when the majority of people was enjoying the warmth of inner space during cold winter. I hope that this kind of arduous task could be done by powerful Robots with cheaper circuit chips in their body and jobs at dangerous and harsh environment can be finished by automatic machines with powerful chips rather than bare young man. In order to achieve this objective, I should spare no efforts to learn every relevant course during graduate study and put it into use in practice. I need to master more knowledge about circuit design because the industry is always advancing rapidly and I intend to learn as much experience as possible from professors because merely theoretical knowledge I acquire from books are not enough to design powerful and energy-saving circuits, though I know there is a long way before me .

The reason why I choose Umich as my best place for graduate study and research is that I find Umich has a series of favorable features that suit me. Umich is always good at VLSI design and there are a lot of seasoned professors who are specializing in integrated circuit. I believe professors with much practical experience will deepen my understanding about core knowledge and their unique ideas are most likely to inspire me to think deeply and arouse my passion for invention. Besides, I know that the academic and research atmosphere in Umich is satisfactory. I think that good academic atmosphere in Umich can help me devote myself overall to the academic study and research. Therefore, I posit that Umich is the best place for me to pursue my graduate study.

几点个人建议（仅供参考）：
1. 开头的故事有些俗套，不够interesting
2. 语法错or表达awkward的地方比较多（e.g. 有sophomore就不用second year了）
3. 很多陈述事实的句子应该用现在时（e.g integrated circuit was so powerful that it was-->integrated circuit is so powerful that it is）
4. 结尾不够strong，posit这种词显得你还是比较犹豫，不够坚定，换成I believe或者I have no doubt...

请教一下你这篇的SOP写作思路是什么？
另外看你的第一段target是IC是吗？是偏analog还是digital呢？还是mixed-signal?
还有就是有些学校的analog在EE，digital在CE这块。。你的SOP是针对哪个呢？

digital吧。我这个是申请umich写的。他们的digital在ee那边。

第三段，感觉就是在说一件很平淡的事，不能给人留下深刻印象
