In your statement of purpose it's good to include something on how your prospective project ideas relates to what's been done on similar topics in XXXXXX, how your work can build on it (as well as on other kinds of research) so as to make new contributions to XXXXXX.

Also, in the statement feel free to mention that you have contacted me (and any other faculty) and as for me, you could say that I am interested in your work.

Also, what I always add as advice is that, because competition is always keen, for the admissions we can offer, I always recommend prospective applicants to make sure to apply to at least a few other, different universities, to increase your chances of acceptance. If you were not accepted one time, you can also try again.

感谢您的回复，这位教授是我第一个套辞的教授。我本身也不是一个很积极的人，看到这封信不知道咋回复。就还没回复教授，总之先硬着头皮走流程吧。我本身没什么优势啦！但是我的CV和SoP还有WP只有两个大字：真！挚！。。好像废话。。。

‘If you were not accepted one time, you can also try again’也是说他还挺想要你的？

感觉就只是prof不能直接做主要你，你得先通过系里的考验

完全是自己写的，不是模板，但他不能给你保证什么

这不叫模板了，算是很正面的回复，而且建议申其他的学校基本上是每个对你感兴趣的教授都会给出的意见，他现在也不能给啥保证，最后还是会有竞争存在，但起码你知道他对你还是感兴趣的。
