This afternoon, video chat service Zoom announced first-quarter earnings. Zoom said it generated $328.2 million in revenue, up 169 percent from the same period last year. The company also reported adjusted earnings of 20 cents a share over a three-month period. Zoom's cash flow is also impressive, with net cash from operations reported at $259 million in the second quarter, compared with $22.2 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2020. Free cash flow was $251.7 million, compared with $15.3 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2020. Zoom is on the rise, in part because covid-19 is enabling more people to work remotely from home.
