Today, Google announced three new online certification programs for data analysis, project management, and user experience design. The certificates, created and taught by Google staff, don't require a university degree, can be completed in three to six months and are offered through the online learning platform Coursera. Google said it would consider all certificates as four-year university degrees for company-related positions. The tech giant has committed to 100,000 scholarship opportunities for career certification programs and will award more than $10 million in grants to YWCA, npower, and JFF -- three nonprofit organizations that work with Google to provide workforce development for women, veterans, and underrepresented americans.  source
