频繁拒绝戴口罩的德克萨斯州共和党议员确诊感染新冠

德克萨斯州共和党议员Louie Gohmert原计划周三会与总统特朗普一起乘坐空军一号飞往德克萨斯州米德兰，周三上午在白宫进行飞行前检查，新冠检测呈阳性。确诊后的Louie Gohmert没有再与总统一起飞行。而Louie Gohmert此前一直频繁拒绝戴口罩，在投票期间在众议院大厅与助手和立法者交谈时不仅没戴口罩，也未保持社交距离。

周三在接受德克萨斯州当地电视台KETK采访时，Louie Gohmert表示，他可能因为错误地戴上口罩而感染了新冠病毒。并补充说道，在过去的两周里，他戴口罩的次数比过去三四个月都要多。让他不禁猜测是否是口罩在佩戴和放置过程中沾上了病毒，自己又沾上这些病毒从而被感染了。

虽说不正确地佩戴口罩，包括在公共场合触摸和调整口罩，都可能导致接触病毒。当佩戴者在使用口罩时不触摸脸部或移动口罩时，口罩是最有效的。但Louie Gohmert猜想自己是因为错误佩戴口罩而染病的想法也有争议性，因为专家说，病毒主要还是在人与人的接触中传播。

He will conduct a pre-flight inspection at the White House on Wednesday morning and test positive for the coronavirus. Louie Gohmert did not fly with the president after the diagnosis. Louie Gohmert had previously refused to wear a mask frequently. When talking with assistants and legislators in the lobby of the House floor during voting, he not only did not wear a mask, nor did he maintain social distancing.

In an interview with local Texas TV station KETK on Wednesday, Louie Gohmert said he may have contracted the coronavirus by wearing a mask incorrectly. And added that he's been wearing the mask more in the past two weeks than he has in the past three or four months. It made him wonder if he might have put some of the virus onto the mask and breathed it in.

Although wearing a mask incorrectly, including touching and adjusting the mask in public places, may lead to exposure to the virus. The mask is most effective when the wearer does not touch the face or move the mask while using the mask. But Louie Gohmert's guess that he contracted the disease because of wearing a mask by mistake is also controversial, because experts say that the virus is mainly spread in person-to-person contact.  source
