蓬佩奥说：特朗普将在“未来几天”对TikTok和其他中国应用程序采取行动

美国国务卿蓬佩奥（Mike Pompeo）周日表示，美国总统特朗普“将在未来几天对包括TikTok在内的中国应用程序采取行动”，理由是存在国家安全风险。蓬佩奥还说：像TikTok这样的中国应用程序会威胁到美国国家安全和美国人隐私。当被问及微软收购TikTok是否会消除“被中国监控”的担忧时，蓬佩奥并没有给出明确答案。微软方面就正在收购TikTok的谈判也拒绝置评。美国财政部长姆努钦（Steven Mnuchin）周日也表示：两党一致认为，TikTok不能再保持现在的形式了（中国持股），因为它有可能威胁到1亿美国人的私人信息”，同时也提到了对美国用户数据最终将落入中国政府手中的担忧。他也指出，共和党和民主党人，包括参议员马科·鲁比奥和汤姆·科顿，众议院议长南希·佩洛西和参议院少数党领袖查克·舒默，都持一致意见。姆努钦补充说，特朗普正在考虑其他选择，包括强迫母公司字节跳动出售Tiktok，或将使用《国际紧急经济权力法》（International Emergency Economic Powers Act）来禁止该应用程序。

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Sunday that President Donald Trump "will take action in the coming days" on Chinese apps, including TikTok, citing national security risks.But Pompeo said that Chinese apps like TikTok are an issue for US national security and the privacy of Americans. Microsoft declined to comment to CNN Business on the matter. Trump firmly rejected the idea of a potential spin-off deal satisfying national security concerns.
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said on Sunday that there was bipartisan agreement that TikTok could not stay in its current format "because it risks sending back information on 100 million Americans," referencing the concern that American user data will end up in the hands of the Chinese government. He noted Republicans and Democrats, including Sens. Marco Rubio and Tom Cotton, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, were all in agreement. Mnuchin added that Trump was looking at other options including forcing a sale by TikTok's parent company or banning the app using the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.  source
