　　本文记述了在我复议GRE作文期间发生的事和我的感受。对于参加GRE考试的同学，本文可以作为参考，因为我所经历的也可能发生在你的身上。


　　
　　
　　一．前言
　　
　　写这篇文章的目的并不是想要得瑟或是炫耀，因为GRE考好了并不是决定性的，只是成功的开始。由于E（和谐）T（和谐）S采用软件批阅作文，误判的概率还是很高的。我在复议期间时常逛逛太傻之类的论坛，发现上面间或有人发出哀嚎：作文分数怎么这么低！才2.5！之所以“（和谐）”是怕多事，因为有个人作文被判为抄袭，原因是在考试结束的时候这个人把自己的作文放到了论坛上，被考试机构查到了。因此还是小心为妙。
   
    通过一个月零20天左右的复议申请，虽然我消耗了很多感情、时间还有RMB，但是还是有不少收获的：

　　
1.锻炼了办事能力。打电话给在美国的E（和谐）T（和谐）S、发邮件与对方客服人员交流；为了visa卡的事咨询银行（结果发现学校里的银行不给学生办visa卡……）、让爸妈去办visa卡、向别人借visa卡卡号等等。在一定程度上提高了我的书面沟通能力、口语水平。
2.锻炼的我的耐心。刚得知作文分数的时候我非常的震惊，因为在考场上写作文的时候我就感觉非常好，肯定是高分。没想到只有2.5分。这个打击对我来说真的是很大，因为语文、数学这两项考得都非常不错，难道我的努力和GRE成绩就要因为作文这一项就泡汤了吗？当时的我真是很苦闷。不仅仅使苦闷而且是困惑，怎么可能这么低！在准备作文的过程中，我挑了7个用途广泛的话题写了7篇issue并且背诵下来，至于argument我列出了所有的提纲。在实际考试时，issue题目是科研人员应该干点别的事，我背的作文是“学生应该多学些课程”，多类似啊！Argument的题目正好是我写的20篇argument之一。我感觉2.5分肯定不足以反映我的作文水平和比较艰辛的努力。尽管心急如麻，但我还是比较镇定地上网查阅了关于作文复议的经验贴，做到了心中有数并坚定了申请复议的决心。在整个复议过程中，状况不断，我还是做到了比较淡定地处理。


前后分数对比：前：160/166/2.5   后：160/166/3.5
在复议期间，原始分数是没办法查看的。
作文分已经够用了，结果比较令我满意。


　　几点说明/致谢
1.查分时间和网址：在考试结束后2周就可以查分数。查分数的网站并不是报名网站，而是https://mygre.ets.org/greweb/login/login.jsp
你需要注册，注册信息要和报名网站上的信息完全一致。
2.如感到分数不对劲，请尽快查阅相关资料、下定决心。作文复议的有效期是考试结束后6个月。
3.关于交流方式。如果你需要打电话向对方咨询，那一定要打越洋电话。此时你可以买一张电话卡，50块，只打不接，可以和美国方面通话140分钟，有效期90天。网址为：http://trade.taobao.com/trade/detail/tradeSnap.htm?spm=a1z09.2.9.135.dFSFIY&tradeID=248053674397804 考试机构的电话号：1-609-771-7670    or     1-866-473-4373
邮件，对方邮箱是gre-info@ets.org。我用的邮箱就是qq邮箱。联系时间是北京时间晚上8点以后（对方的上班时间）。
传真，请一定要问清楚这台传真机可不可以发送越洋传真。我问过校园里的两家复印店，都不行。最后用的是爹妈单位的传真机。传真的时间也是对方的上班时间。传真号：1-610-290-8975
4.付款方式。如果你要申请复议，GRE账户（不是报名账户）中要有钱，如果没钱的话考试机构会收取20美元并且不会返款。作文复议的费用是55美元，开始时不会收取，如果复议失败会收取的。也就是说这部分钱是可以返回的。支付方式有visa卡、支票、汇票。推荐visa，只要将visa卡卡号通过传真发送给考试机构即可，非常方便。
5.如何开始复议流程？
将你的复议请求写成Request to Rescore传真给美国的考试机构。传真件要包含你当场考试的信息、个人信息，还要有你对自己行为的说明（self-defense）；当然还要有一个有效的visa卡来付账，写清楚有效期限。第一份文档包含以上信息就可以了。
在整个复议过程中要不间断地发邮件、打电话确认、交流。要确认考试机构收到了你的申请和钱；确认你的申请正在被处理；确认结果和时间等。在这个过程中就不要心疼电话费了。前文说的电话卡需要打到北京再转到国外，所以长途电话费是免不了了。我大概打了70分钟电话，花了几十块钱。打电话时用口语沟通的能力也是很重要的，比如当对方说关于银行的单词时我就不大听得懂，说地址的时候也是。
6.声明：那个电话卡还有70分钟的通话时间，6月末过期。谁想用可以联系我。
7.意外事件。有一段时间考试机构告诉我“没成功扣费”，使复议流程暂停。我很是不解、急躁。再发送个传真就行了。如果扣费成功，对方会告诉你“paid in full”。
8.复议结束。主动发邮件询问，对方会告诉你“分数变了”，说明你复议成功，那就恭喜了。
9.致谢。感谢自己的冷静处理、爸妈的全力配合和鼓励、赵HY对我的信任（扣费不成功的时候我向他借visa卡）。

  I took the test at 03/09/2013 and got the result recently. I am completely perplexed about the score of Analytical Writing section and want to make a request for hand rescoring.
  In the actual exam, each of my writing consists of at least 500 words and sticks to the topic. I do not understand how come I got only 2.5? Clearly, there is a mistake.
  I can assure you that both the issue and argument are written by myself. I clearly know the consequences of cheating, copying and plagiarizing. So I do not dare to copy others’ essay. In the process of preparing the exam, I have prepared at least 10 issues and all of the arguments. In fact, I wrote them down in several pieces of paper by hand and then memorize them. I can provide my handwritings as evidence if necessary.
  I feel very frustrated because the score does not parallel my hard work and good performance.
  Please review my Analitical Writing and respond me as soon as possible.

Both of the service agents claimed that the postponement is due to the failure of payment through credit card.So I am wondering to give up paying the 75 dollas by credit card.Instead, I plan to pay the fee through bank.What's the specific method to do that?If I remit the fee through bank, should I mail the "bill of exchange"directly or I can fax it.Please give me useful information in your next email. Making an oversee call from China to USA is very expensive. And in my last phone call, the agent give me the address to remit the payment but I can only hear part of the information:"GRE  Distribution and Receiving Center  225 Blablablaâ?¦â?¦". 楼主 你提到GRE账户里要有钱，我不明白这是什么意思，我只知道国内教育部相关的那个GRE报名账户可以存钱，GRE账户（可以存钱的）是啥我怎么从没听说过。官网说的account是指信用卡账户里要有钱吧？希望你能好心回我一下下 感恩！
