加拿大找工作要靠networking，机会太少了

Maybe because I did not do any intern during my Phd. I am from Waterloo and most uw undergraduates have coops.

maybe…maybe you can try to apply for jobs in US as well..I  didn’t have sde internships before either but at least I’m able to get multiple interview opportunities from big companies, unlike in Canada😅

After the pandemic?

I did not get any luck from US either (tried lots of random companies from indeed/linkedin). Not sure whether or not due to visa status. I always check yes when asked about visa sponsorship (from my understanding TN is also some kind of sponsorship) and got rejected due to that.
I almost did not try Canadian companies because I know the chance is almost 0.

那可能这边更挑背景是否符合他们的requirement 很少有general hire吧...估计很多还有要求coop经验这种死循环。当然还有一点比较不可说的就是diversity hire, 如果是女生的话拿到面试的概率还是会有些许提升的，加村感觉除了少数大厂外基本没有几个有这种政策的... 个人体感温哥华地区可能只有巨硬和sap比较在意这个。当然总体来说估计还是因为温哥华的坑少得可怜哈哈，比美帝难很多，也比不过东部。不过层主能面美帝的也不用在乎加村的了 package大多了 加村的简直不忍直视

Maybe you can try posting resume on 1point3acres and ask for feedback. That’s what I did and I definitely got far more OAs after changing my resume according to those feedbacks.

嗯嗯 谢谢分析 对 应该有很多原因…不管怎样已经找到美国大厂暑假实习了…希望以后过简历关起码能稍好一点

简历不是问题。。。我简历拉跨比你多了也受到了很多面试

同加拿大

首先education和work experience放前面，soft skills和knowledge 完全可以不写（你的related course已经有knowledge part的），skills那边language和framework可以分开，看着很乱。
work experience可以写细致，用了什么framework， 完成的功能什么，这个写太少了， 这边work experience比project重要。

什么学校毕业的不太重要，college也无所谓。
