The opinions of celebrities, such as famous entertainers and athletes, are more important to younger people than to older people.  

Nowadays, great changes have taken place in the modern society. With the booming development of the society, there are many celebrities such as actors, musicians, athletes and so on. Recently, a heated debate that whether the opinions of celebrities are more important to younger people than to older people or not arouses the public concern. Different people have different opinions towards these debate. Depending on personal experience, personality type as well as emotional concerns, I totally agree that when compared with older people, opinions of celebrities are more significant to younger people nowadays. My conspicuous opinions will be substantiated in the following reasons.

To begin with, it is common sense that young people are more likely to believe the opinions of people without critical thinking. In other words, when compared with older people, young people always make decision and judgment under the opinions of different people. Therefore, they are more likely to accept the opinions of celebrities because they lack critical thinking and judgment. Moreover, they are not as experienced as older people. According to a recent survey, over 83 percent of young people who are enrolled in the survey admit that they accept the opinions of celebrities more easily than their parents when watching the advertisement of some products.

In the second place, as it known to all, because of the highly development of the modern science and technology, there are many inventions that make people's lives convenient and efficient. Because of the television and the computer, people can easily know celebrities through TV shows and the Internet. However, we cannot deny the fact that young people can learn to use the computer better and more quickly than older people. Therefore, young people are more likely to get the information and the opinions from the celebrities. For example, when talking about some famous singers in the world such as Lady Gaga, my grandparents even do not who she is, let alone the opinions from her.

Last but not least, admittedly, it may be too assertive to claim that the opinions of celebrities are more important to younger people than to older people. We should acknowledge that when the celebrities are famous political men such as Obama, Chair Mao, the opinions will be more important to older people. Because they believe they are knowledgeable and having broad horizons thus their opinions will definitely be accurate and considerable. However, with the development of the modern science, nowadays young people are acquiring as much knowledge as possible and young people are not only familiar with the famous entertainers and athletes, but also political celebrities.

In light of what are discussed above and taking all the aspects into consideration, we can safely draw the conclusion that nowadays the opinions of celebrities are more important to younger people than to older people. Because young people lack the ability of critical thinking, more informed with the Internet than the older people.

本文的题目直译过来就是“名人的意见想法对年轻人更重要”。可是楼主你的文章读下来给人感觉是偏题了，你写成了“年轻人更容易接受名人的想法”，你的论证也因此就一直在围绕后一个问题在说：1、年轻人缺乏批判思维；2、年轻人更容易接触新科技比如因特网。 这些论点都无法支撑celebrities' opinions are more important to the youth.

那我也说说我的想法，也不一定对哈。
第一点同一楼
首段有点冗长，一般开头控制在一百字之内即可，比如头两句可以合成一句，“Different people have different opinions towards these debate.”这句在字数足够的情况下完全没必要写，另外“whether the opinions of celebrities are more important to younger people than to older people arouses the public concern”和“I totally agree that compared with older people, opinions of celebrities are more significant to younger people nowadays”有点重复
第四段的转折有点奇怪，之前说agree这个观点，后面又说这个观点太assertive，我个人感觉前后有点矛盾，前两句可改成“although the opinions of celebrities such as movie and athlete stars are more important to younger people than to older people, we cannot deny the fact that when the celebrities are famous political men such as Obama, Chair Mao, the opinions will be more important to older people”


另外我今天也按照这个题目写了一篇作文，自己修改过一遍，字数感觉挺多的，各位有空的话可以看看，给点意见
Today we should thanks for the rapid development of technology, which promotes the emerging and advance of mass media and Internet. These developments have brought us an explosion of information, and lots of celebrities, such as actors, musicians and athlete, have come into public view. There is a raising belief that opinions of celebrities are more important to younger people than to older people. I completely agree this idea, for the reasons listed in the following.
First of all, younger people are more like to be guided and influenced by the surrounding world, for example, the words and the acting of other people and varies events. Especially in world full of different kinds of information, voice from different directions makes young people feel tired and confused. And young people’s mind isn’t as mature as elder people. In this way, with characters as cool appearance and smart words, which usually be a favored by young, celebrities, such as movie star, athletes, and other public characters begin to be admired by many young people, and their opinions have affect young people’s thinking greatly. An obvious example is the advertisement. Companies tend to let stars to advocate their products for young people, with the consideration that the acceptability and flexibility of their minds. And this strategy usually leads to successful marketing. On the contrary, elder people, who have already been tired of these advertisements, are more likely to purchase products with their own judgment.

Young people usually cherish their idols’ opinions and imitate them. However, younger people often cannot tell right from wrong, while most elder people have strong judgment. Yong people are too young to think criticality, so their admiration and imitation seem to be blind which may greatly harm their personality development. Nobody is perfect. It’s common that some celebrities are caught in scandals like taking drugs, domestic violence, quickly marriage and quickly devoice. They also give opinions that are inappropriate for young people. Therefore, lacking of life experience and critical thinking ability, young people may absorb all this opinions because of their blindly admiration to these celebrities.

Another important point we must pay attention to is that young people are in a critical period in their personality development. People of this age are sensitive, emotional, credulous and eager to be confirmed. When they see people in the screen are welcome by the public, they would imitate them with the aspiration of copy their success, which contribute a lot to the development of their personality. We cannot deny the positive influence of these celebrities, whose merits such as hard working, profound knowledge and excellent skills in person relations would make these young people grow healthier, and eventually lead a successful life. However, some bad aspects of celebrities can misguide young people and block their normal development. Therefore, elder’s efforts must be introduced to guide young people’s attention on celebrities, and make them focus on positive aspects.

According to above discussion, it’s safe to say that celebrities’ opinions are more important and critical to young people’s development. For older people, their minds and personality are already well development and hard to be influence. With the ability of distinguishing the right and wrong, elder people are responsible to guide younger people’s focusing on celebrities.
