我又来了。。。除了学习数学科学历史，小朋友还要学习艺术和音乐。

其实观点我还是觉得有点问题。。。
1.现在竞争激烈，学了别的可以让他们更有竞争力。
2.学音乐和艺术可以让他们得到放松，更好集中精力学习数学科学历史等
3.让步一下，再转回来。有些人立志做科学家，就没必要学这些。但是多学一点没有坏处，现在很多科学家也在学其他知识，可以让他们更有创造力

Nowadays, with the booming development of modern society, fierce competitions have taken place in the society among people. Recently, a heated debate that whether children at the ages of five to ten should be required to study art and music besides math language, science and history or not arouses the public concern. Different people have different ideas since individual has various definitions about necessary knowledge for younger school children. Depending on personal experience, personality type and emotional concerns, I agree with the statement that art and music are equally important for students. My conspicuous opinions will be substantiated based on the following reasons.

First and foremost, as is known to all, nowadays competitions among students are fiercer than their ancestral counterparts. In order to be more competitive and successful in the future job market, younger school children are required to acquire as much knowledge as possible. Since every younger student is compelled to spare no effort learning math language, science and history, learning art and music should also be part of their academic study because it will put them in favorite job positions in the future. In addition, learning art and music besides other knowledge will broaden their horizons and enrich their knowledge, which will provide them with more opportunities to promote positions and improve salary in the long run. According to a recent study, companies are more likely to hire students with not only academic knowledge but also art and music knowledge since they think students with art and music knowledge are more competitive and attractive than others.

In the second place, it is common sense that in order make their children more competitive, parents and teachers compel younger school children to spend every minutes learning academic knowledge. No one can deny the fact that younger school children will feel exhausted and cannot concentrate on the study without relaxation. There is an old saying that all work and no play make Jack a dull boy. Therefore, learning art and music can not only broaden their horizons but also relax them well, which will improve their efficiency in the next academic study. My brother really feel excited about the requirement of studying art and music in school because he think it will make him relaxed after the hard academic courses. Recently a survey shows that over 83 percent younger students who participate in the survey admit that learning art and music make them more attractive among friends and improve their study efficiency, which in turn improve their scores.

Last but not least, admittedly, it is too extreme to say that younger school children should be required to study art and music. Since some students have made up their minds to be successful scientists, focusing on specific areas will provide them with more related knowledge. However, it is also true that learning other knowledge such as art and music will benefit their study. We should admit nowadays many famous scientists are spending extra time acquiring different kind of knowledge because they think learning various knowledge will make them creative and knowledgeable.

In light of all the aspects discussed above, we may safely draw a conclusion that younger school children should be required to study art and music besides academic knowledge, because it can broaden their horizons, enrich their knowledge and relax them after academic study, which will all make them more competitive and attractive.
