Open Position: Ph.D. student in computer engineering
Enrollment term: Fall 2022 / Spring 2023

"I have several openings for a Ph.D. student in the broad areas of architectural and systems security, side-channels, and program analysis. Selected candidates will be fully supported with tuition and stipend. Research topics:
• Resilient computer architecture
• Microarchitectural vulnerability discovery/analysis
• Novel side-channels and fault injection
• Embedded systems fuzzing/rehosting
• Architectural runtime monitoring

Preferred qualifications (one or more):
• Strong understanding of computer architecture and system software
• Experience with embedded systems interfacing, Linux device drivers, architectural performance monitoring
• Experience with rapid-prototyping and instrumentation
• Motivation and ability to learn new knowledge and skills
• Programming skills (Assembly, C/C++, Python, …)

Dr. Dean Sullivan joined the University of New Hampshire in Fall 2021 as an Assistant Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Dr. Sullivan received his M.S. in computer engineering from the University of Central Florida in 2017 and Ph.D. in computer engineering from the University of Florida in 2021. He has actively worked in the areas of hardware, systems, and architectural security authoring publications in leading conferences.
