奇迹，居然还能够碰到这个ID。记得三年前，我刚刚考GRE的时候，在寄托的GRE版见到过这个ID，而且印象还很深刻，不知道答主是否记得我的ID。。。。。。而且，如果我没记错的话，答主好像是个妹子，那时候在寄托上还修过恩爱，说自己的男朋友的ID跟自己的一样。。。而今，哥上周五刚刚答辩完，毕业，时间都去哪儿了。。。

I strongly SUPPORT this new rule of OPT extension.

Companies in the high-tech segment hire qualified people only, regardless his/her race, nationality and veteran status. Given the advantages, such as better communication skill, more local connection etc., why do you think the companies still prefer F1-OPT student over some citizens? The ONLY reason is those students are more qualified for the job. Excuses are tools of the incompetent.

USA is an immigration country. The ONLY reason it can be a superpower is because of that it welcomes the highly skilled foreigners to come and make contribution to this country. The attractiveness fade away as we see more and more local protectionism. I have a negative view on the outlook of this country which relies heavily on immigrants but is deviating from its foundation.

Strongly SUPPORT the proposal for the following reasons:

1. STEM students learn so many valuable skills from US universities. Their contributions to the US industry will empower the development of American technology.   
2. Competitions don't exist between us citizens and STEM students, many IT positions are short of people because citizens don't have related skills. STEM student with valuable skill can fit the position and raise the global impact of American Technic companies.
3. The economic case for legal immigration is overwhelming. International STEM students fill the gap in the labor force. They contribute to taxes, social security. They are far more likely to start their own companies and employ American workers.

"This proposal is clearly a reflection on the spirits of the greatest country in the world. Many of these international students pay to study in the U.S. and I believe they deserve their rightful opportunities to gain more working experience here which would do a great favor when they return to there home countries. Besides, the extension is not a guarantee for a green card at all! People who object this proposal are somewhat regional protectionists or others worse that is certainly not helping the healthy diversity in the U.S. In addition, many of those STEM students take the jobs that where mostly under-filled by our native graduates. What harms does it do to keep making us the greatest country in the world? We should spend more time in dealing with illegal immigrants rather than keeping intellectual minds away!!!" ---- Donald White
