已回复了I strongly SUPPORT this new OPT policy, because these who are opposing this policy did not bring up valid points and I do not want these comments cause problems for such a great policy.  Firstly, foreign students working on OPT PAY TAX and they help local economies. Without foreign students, US universities and research institutions will face huge loss.Those property renting, food service and other industries will face huge loss..

International students with higher education in US contribute great efforts to the economy as well as woking opportunities by applying what they learned to practice. Mike Krieger, co-founder of today's most hot social media app Instagram is once an international student in STEM. This original photo-based app not only changed our life style by sharing photos, but created thousands of working opportunities, contributed tens of millions of dollars as tax and help more and more people get better connected. Not only in IT, STEM students contributed their efforts in Mechanics, petroleum, bio-medical, etc. US, not like China and other developing counties which depends on its massive and ill-payed labor workers, continues to lead as the world’s most innovative economy pointed out by President Obama. This requires us to attract best talents regardless of their color, nationality, ethic, etc. Those international students went through STEM programs are definitely such great human resources we should preserve. It is responsibility of USCIS to approve better program for STEM students not only by approving this 2 years extension, but also better H-1B program to attract as many highly innovative workers as possible.

There are many benefits of this OPT extension policy: Firstly, this policy will help keep gifted students stay in US and thus promote American economy both in the short term and long term. There good F1 students will stimulate the progress of American society in many respects. And there is no doubt that if the OPT extension policy is not passed, there will be LESS and LESS people coming to USA to study, which has a bad influence on US education system and society. So this policy should be approved. I heard that the unemployment rate has hit historical low ,which is a strong indicator that the American industry need work forces to promote the economy. F-1 students will not make other Americans lose their job .Positive competitions really help the growth of US students. What's more: There are not so many foreign students who are looking for a job in USA. (a) Some of them just want to have a better education experience, then go back to their countries. (b) Some of them are not good enough to have a position in either academe or industry, so they have to go back to their countries. (c) The rest of them may look for a position in academe or industry, who can be further partitioned into several parts: Wherever in academe or industry,some of them will go back to their countries in a short time for some specific reasons, e.g. their family members (husband/wife/parents) don't want to live outside their countries; or they have better opportunities in their countries. However, there are three more challenges for job hunting of F1 students. (a) Foreigners have worse communication skills than citizens, while communications are of great importance everywhere. (b) A H1b visa or citizenship is required for positions in many companies. (c)Students can only look for positions that in STEM related areas. Hence, only a small part of foreign students are able to compete with citizens. All in all, the OPT extension policy ought to be approved.
