I strongly SUPPORT the proposal for the following reasons:

Firstly, Diversity is very important for the US, there are many professors and elite in Technology company were international students before. Those people, like the CEO Sundar Pichai, have made great contribution to the US and even the whole world. If students won't have opt extension in the future, it will be the loss of US and even the world.

Secondly, if opt extension is canceled, there will be a huge impact on american economy. There are a large number of engineers and developers in Silicon Valley are international students. If the OPT extension is canceled, they have to resign and go back to their countries, how could those big companies find a large number of high educated people in a short time? So there must be a shock in this industry. What's more, if international students don't have a chance to work in the US with OPT, the number of future students will definitely decrease. The income of many famous universities in the US will also decrease, which I think is a very bad thing especially under the economic circumstances now.

Thirdly, someone complains that they don't have job opportunities because of international students. However, most international students work in Technology companies, HRs in those companies could't find enough US citizens at all. To my concerns, most US students with a Bachelor, Master or PHD degree can find jobs easily. People without a advanced degree will hardly be considered for positions like software developer. So international students are never the reason some loser can not find a job.

What's more, competition do exist, but is definitely not a bad thing.  Competition could help the US to find better employees, to improve the average education level, skills and so on.

    I strongly SUPPORT the proposal for the following reasons:
    1. Expanding of OPT can give the chances that let the students who learned and graduated from the U.S. universities keep making contributions to the U.S. There are so many stories in the history that prove immigrants made grate contributions to the U.S.
    2. Expanding of OPT will never affect the job opportunities of citizens in the U.S, because citizens always have priority to obtain the jobs and this situation will never change even though OPT would have been expanded. In fact, currently the jobs obtained by the International students who graduated from universities in the U.S. are those the citizens would not like to do.
    3. Obviously, competition does exist in any time whether OPT would have been expended or not. However, it goes without saying that competition is not a bad thing. On the contrary, it is good for the health of market, and can efficiently promote both enterprises and normal people in the country.
