I strongly SUPPORT the proposal for the following reasons:

1. As you can see, most foreign students who stay in the U.S. are keeping contributing to this country, so their power and achievements are unneglectable.

2. Diversity is very important for the U.S.,

3. The U.S. is a country who is willing to embrace students around the world as long as they can make contribution to this society. This property has been rooting in the soil of the liberty.

4. Competition does exist, but is not a bad thing. If someone are trying to get out of the competition, then he/she will definitely become weaker and weaker, and finally he/she will be cleaned out by this society, so the only way to survive is to compete with others and enforce ourselves to become stronger and stronger.

I am strongly for the extension of OPT, because it allows dream to become true, and eventually help US become the biggest winner.

I am studying at University of Illinois at Urban Champaign. I choose engineering major in the US, because here everyone is dare to dream and every dream is possible to realize. When I stood by the exit of Willis Tower after a tour, I saw the photo of its designer, Fazlur Rahman Khan, a migrate from Bangladesh. It was the first time ever I feel my dream close; Wills Tower is built by a non native; it is possible! When the US society celebrates Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, and other successful native American entrepreneurs of high tech companies, I know enoumous tech achievements behind these miracles are made by non natives, through my study. Also immigrants from English speaking countries, who are easier to immigrate, made a larger impact. The biggest example, Elon Musk, changed the US society in three whole areas.

Regarding the worries from the other side against the OPT extension, we the international engineers / scientists are only engineers / scientists. We contribute, but merely influence, like the entrepreneurs, politicians, lawyers, or doctors. We will not end in the first class of American society, or blend in the main stream; they are not our dreams. Look, OPT is only permission for work. We work, you enjoy.
