I strongly SUPPORT the proposal for the following reasons:

I am applying for graduate school in the US. I am petty sure that if those opportunities were cancelled, most of applicants will definitely give up further study in the US. It is not only a pity for foreigners, but also a huge loss for US education as well as job market.

As for my major, statistics, many Chinese students and scholars have made great achievements, and it can never be denied that those people are a strong strength in both academia and industry. Foreigners have made many contributions to STEM subjects. I do not think you would like to lose those impetuses in your fast developing industries.

Competition is always the best way of improving the efficiency. I hold a strong believe that a more fierce competition in job market will definitely enhance the performance of both foreigners and Americans.

I wrote a short comment as the following:
You know why US is the most appealing country of studying abroad? Open minded, valuing diversity, encouraging everyone to have and pursue their dreams. I don’t know why someone want to push international students out of border. I’d ask you, do you still want US to be a country that gathers talented people around the world, or a country that only lives the people whose ancestors lived here two hundred years ago?

International STEM students actually do NOT take American students' jobs.

这句话我觉得可以稍微把高度上升一下，International STEM students are NOT competing with American students for job opportunities; therefore, increase OPT extension time would not cause a rise in unemployment rate.
