Obviously,  I am one of the supporter for OPT extension.
United States is one of the most powerful country because our nation takes the best of all that GOD has given to the world. Each year foreign students and scholars come to US for education and conference. Our great nation should always keep open to those talents, especially for those technical engineers workers. Diversity keeps our society dynamic and creative. I come to New York from China when I was 12. It is still amazing and beneficial that I can experience the whole world culture just from my small high school in town.I saw some comments which are over addressing the privilege of citizenship. No discrimination on immigrants! My mom and dad are new immigrants. Most of American have a immigrant ancestor, including those guys who left terrible comments. That’s who we are, an immigration country.

I absolutely SUPPORT this proposed rule. And here are my reasons:

1. OPT students will benefit from this. With extended time OPT student can gain more experience in the related field. And they will have a better chance to build a better career which will impact their entire life. And this will, in the long run, benefit their family, their children and their country. With the time extended they will also have more time to think about the next step, either continue in the industry or pursue a higher degree.

2. OPT students make great contribution to the goverment, their company and even more. I work as a engineer in a tech company. Our team has a total of 7 people and 5 of them are either currently working using their OPT extention or uesed to be working under OPT. They contributes to 70% of the human resources in our team. And each year they can contribute up to 30% of their input to the federal as tax. From our company's perspective without OPT we would spent more time and money trying to recruit qulified employee from our sources or we would end up not having enough skilled engineers to power the whole comany. This great loss for the company means great loss for the customers of the company and our customers could be anybody in the nation. As whole OPT students plays an important role in boosting both the technological and economic development in the U.S.

3. This rule will be a win-win for both existing U.S. citizens and OPT students. Competition does exists but will create a win-win situation as this kind of competition will raise the human resouce quilty in the U.S. Knowing the existence of the competition will help people to realize the need to improve their skill set constently. In the long term this will help to raise the level of the education across the whole country.

For more than 200 years, the United States has welcomed people from all around the globe, enhancing the diversity, culture and economy. And that is what makes the United States the UNITED STATES. And that is what keeps making it stronger and stronger. And we should NOT stop that!

I strongly support the opt-extension. I have lots of friends who come from every corner in the world. They are smart, industrious, and humble. I agree with President, in this case, that it's not important where they come from, but it's important to give them a chance if they hold the same love to this country. God bless America.

Comment Tracking Number: 1jz-8m3a-e17x.  保质也要保量，因为公式是法案通过的一个process，希望在咱们留学生和科技公司的共同努力之下，能促成这样的双赢法案。 至于那些反对该法案的人，这是他们的权力，但是据我所知，很多非stem专业的中共留学生也在刷负面评论，不希望法案通过，在这里我想告诉你们：请停止这样的行为，如果你想追求绝对公平，请不要以破坏别人的机会为前提，而是想办法怎样能延长自己专业的extension，谢谢！

I strongly SUPPORT the proposal for the following reasons.   

1) Because of OPT and its extension, America provides great opportunities for the students all over the world to learn their interested area, not only in the class but in the real industry with real practice. These make the America the most attractive country for higher education in the world.

2) I personally feel that industry experience, if not more, at least as important as academic learning. As a student, I know there is a great gap between the academic world and industry world. Because of this, OPT and its extension is the key to bridge the gap between two world. Therefore, the 24 month extension, in my opinion, is a perfect time for international students to bridge the gap.

3) A few people doubt that more and more international students would make a positive influence to the American society. On the contrary, diversity brought by international students, brings new vigor and vitality into American society. Thus, this proposal is really for the best interest of the whole US as well as the whole world.
