【紧急求助】OPT-extension申请：公司需要 e-verify 我么？

我在一个start-up工作。为了我申请OPT extension，我们公司刚刚才加入e-verify系统。

根据e-verify规定，公司要verify每一个新员工。

现在问题来了：为了我申请OPT extension，公司需要verify我这个老员工么？（据说就是把我I-9填进系统、审查）

急求类似情况（就是公司申请e-verify的时候，已经是入职了的老员工）大侠回答。

Thank you for your interest in Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. Attached you will find the application form and on the last page, a list of required application documents. PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE EMAIL as it contains answers to FAQs.   

Please compile the required application documents as per the application checklist and return them to hms@harrisburgu.edu or CPT@HarrisburgU.edu  (both go to the same people)  via email as one PDF attachment. DO NOT mail your documents as it causes your application to be delayed.

SEND ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE TO THAT EMAIL ADDRESS OR CPT@HARRISBURGU.EDU SO THE TEAM THERE CAN ANSWER THEM.    You should also email CPT@HarrisburgU.edu for any updates about your application status.

The program is $5300 per semester.  

There are three semesters a year. It is a two-year program.  You take six credits each semester.   The upcoming start dates January 8; March 4; May 13; or  June 24.  As a general rule:  your application should be in 30 days ahead of the semester start date if you are in the U.S.  It should be in three months ahead if you are overseas.

F-1 visa students cannot do an all online program. In HU’s STEM graduate degree programs, you will be on campus one Saturday a month for 1 class (3 credits) and you take the other class (3 credits) online.

You can have CPT from day 1.   If you completed a degree in the U.S. those transcripts will suffice instead of a TOEFL score.  Additionally, if you received a degree in the U.S. then you don’t need a WES evaluation.  We do not require a GRE.  If you did not get a degree in the U.S., the  TOEFL score required is 79 and the IELTS is 6.0.

Letters of recommendation can come from work or a professor (anybody who is not a relative).  Pay stubs will not suffice so you must show a bank statement or affidavit of financial support.  There are no installment/payment plans nor are there scholarships available for graduate students.


If you are transferring to HU, you cannot transfer your SEVIS until you have an acceptance letter.

As soon as we receive your complete application we start the process to review your application for admission. It will take a minimum of 10 business days to get the response if you are in the U.S.  It may take up to 60 days if you are overseas.

我老板才是给力呢。。。。他说很简单，然后突然愣住了，说居然还要学习，然后考试。我就哈哈哈哈开心呀哈哈哈哈啊

然后，悲剧的事情发生了，老板把我加成了admin。等我乐呵呵的登陆了之后发现，我tm也要学习，考试。。。。。。。然后花了好久看完tutorial，考试100%通过。。。。

确实是很不清晰，老板把我弄成公司的admin了，所以我对整个流程还是很清楚的。按道理说，everify只是新员工，而且在不同的系统里对同一个人，只用verify一次。你是不需要再被verify的，只需要对以后的所有newhire做就好。放心，没有问题。

应该是需要，我的情况跟你类似，verify之后会有一个你的case number，当时我老板把我的verification结果的报告复印了一份给我，我也给国土安全局打过电话确认，他们要了我的公司的number，也要了我自己的case number

好像只能你的老板给你弄，我的公司从enroll到弄完我的case不到一个星期，如果只是verification的话一会儿就弄完了，主要是enroll的时候还有什么测试，我老板当时特别捉急。。。。

I just asked ISSS in our university.

They don't think the employee e-verify is necessary for my OPT extension application. All we need is the company's e-verify.

Anyway, thank you so much

按照道理说可以不用everify自己，因为everify是给newhire在入职前3天内做的。对呀existing的是不需要的。OPT extension需要的是公司everify，不是employee『你』everify。

申请OPT extension的时候，需要的只有公司的Identification number吧？我还没有正式填写，不一定百分百肯定。

感觉整个E-verify这个系统就好坑好乱套，打电话问国土安全局也说不明白。。。一会儿要这个号，一会儿要那个号。。。最后说让老板亲自跟她说。。。以防万一就都弄了，实在担心H1B不中，又不能extension...

原来是这样，我老板是前两天才弄好了enrollment，然后他就直接把我verify了，没问题就好，谢谢～
