托福满分作文分享

Dear all, 参加两次托福考试，第一次101，第二次111，作文分数分别是28和30。和大家分享一下我之前写过的作文，希望能有帮助！
小tip: 关于字数，曾经有师兄200+250字也得了29的作文~但是本人作文通常都是500+，事实证明分数也不错，而且所以如果对自己的语言不自信的童鞋，字数无疑是一个提高分数的好办法，不一定有用，但是可以尝试！

The lecturer completely retorts the three possible hypotheses which are used to explain the decline of the yellow cedar illustrated in the reading. As is stated by the author, three hypotheses concerning insect, bears, climates count for the population decline. The lecturer, however, gives ample evidence with precise details to cart serious doubt on the reading.
The threshold point the professor uses to challege the first theory is concerned with insect parasites. The author insists that insect parasites, especially the cedar bark beetle play a significant role in the decline with an example cited. The presenter, however, mentions that the bark and leaves of the yellow cedar are saturated with a powerful chemical which proves to be poisonous to insects to retort the author. If it's true, the chemical could undoubted protect the cedar trees from infestation and are unlikely to suffer from insects. As a result, insects are not the fundamental factor.
Secondly, when it comes to brown bears, the reading and listening passage conflicts with each other. The author maintains that brown bears' aggressive feeding habits are likely to make trees more vulnerable for they claw in order to get the tree bark containg suger. Nevertheless, the lecturer cites the fact the decline not only happen on mainland, but also islands where there are no bears at all, which couldn't explain for the decline in both areas.
Thirdly, the point that the presenter utilizes to cast serious doubt on the reading is related to the climate change. As is presented in the listening, warm places in the lower elevation actually have more dying trees than cold places in the higher elevation, which is definitely opposed to the theory mentioned in the reading.
Thus, the contents in the reading passage are totally jeopardized by the professor and the professor has different ideas on the topic made in the reading by utilizing precise details and more convincing facts to demonstrate his own opinion.

Do you agree ordisagree with the following statement? Patience is usually not a good strategy.People should take action now rather than later. Use specific reasons tosupport your answer.

The speakerasserts that to be patient may not be a preferable solution and people shouldtake measures immediately. While I don’t agree with the first part of thestatement, I cast serious doubt on the second part. As far as I’m concerned,the speaker is too arbitrary and a little irrational when addressing issues.

Admittedly,scenarios abound that we should take action right now in case once in alifetime opportunity flees. It is often the case that a stock dealer misses thebest profitable chances while waiting for the seemingly peak price. A managerloses the opportunity at hands in order to make the most profit. Similar thingshappen from time to time. But a question arises, that this mean that peopleshould take action now rather than later? In my opinion, the speaker ignores asignificant requisite for immediate action. That is proper opportunities.

When it comes tothe patience issue, the speaker fails to apply the statement in a larger scope,which undoubtedly leads to inappropriate conclusions. It would be a totalcatastrophe if kindergarten teachers lack patience. As a result, children willbe consistently punished and blamed for not behaving well.

In addition, patiencedoes not equal useless waiting, but rather seeking for chances. Immediateaction sometimes will result in countless disasters and unaffordable expenses. Patience,however, represents another kind of wisdom.

What’s more,action should be made when the opportunity is suitable, otherwise thisimpatient and unwise decision is likely to bring about huge disasters. Thisissue is to be analyzed in three categories concerning scientists, businessmen,and politicians. If a scientist initiates a perilous research project withoutweighing its feasibility, all he will do may end up in failure, wasting theresearch budget and placing other people’s life in danger. If a businessmandoes not wait for a chance patiently, any step taken is likely to devastate thecompany and result in bankruptcy. If a politician decides to initiate a war immediatelywithout thoughtful consideration, people in the whole country will pay for ahuge price. They will suffer from the pain of losing their relatives evenparents, children and siblings. They will encounter problems concerning hungerand famine and may face the probability of losing their lives anytime.

All in all, patienceis needed especially some measures are to be taken. Immediate action withoutcareful consideration is most likely to end up in failure.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The most important problems affecting our society today could be solved within our lifetime. Use specific reasons to support your answer.

There is no doubt that a myriad of problems are affecting our society from time to time. The speaker contends a rather optimistic viewpoint that these problems will be solved in a few decades. While I admit that some problems could be figured in our lifetime, referring to some minor or insignificant issues, I am a deeply-rooted pessimist when taking other major problems into consideration.

Admittedly, the development and innovation of science and technology has brought about so much convenience and comfort to our lives. We don’t have to worry about the scorching or chilly weather in winter or summer with the invention of air conditioner. Our concern for food reservation has been successfully tackled with the help of refrigerators. Transportation and communication problems are no longer perplexing our society. However, my doubt arises whether these so-called important problems are that urgent and significant?

First of all, when it comes to disease and illness, there is still a long way to go. To our relief, many seemingly incurable diseases in the last century have been settled perfectly. Nevertheless, a myriad of new illness has drawn scientists’ attention, like cancer, heart attack, etc.. Besides, doctors are perplexed with the abuse of antibiotics that many panaceas turn to be useless. Research about DNA has just started to solve problems mentioned above and scientists all consider these to be extremely difficult and not much breakthrough has been made yet. I really couldn’t hold a positive viewpoint when considering this issue.

Secondly, let’s take a close look at the transportation. There is no doubt that the invention of automobiles, airplanes have made our life easier. However, when we address to the issue of traffic jam, no one could offer a feasible solution. Too many cars on the road have completely blocked the traffic from dawn till dusk, which makes traffic less terrible than the ages without automobiles. Besides, another two severe issues are still under heated discussion concerning how to control pollution and shortage in petroleum. I really doubt whether problems concerning mentioned above could be settled in a few decades.

Last but not the least, undoubtedly, wars are happening almost every day on earth. The major reason why I don’t think important problems could be solved in our life time is that wherever human beings exist, conflicts and wars are inevitable. Matters concerning profits abound, which generally leads to severe conflicts. People in a war are suffering from time to time, the injury or death of their relatives even parents, children or siblings, the shortage for food and water which will cause hunger and famine, the poor medical conditions that they are to lose their lives anytime. This is a worldwide problem which exist since human live on this planet. It is not a simple issue like disease, transportation or something else, and neither can it be figured out in our lifetime.

To sum up, I really cannot take the speaker’s point that the most significant problems could be figured out in a few decades while I concede that some minor issues are to be solved with the development and innovation of our technology in the same time.
