Michaels is building a brand new technology team for online retail. We are hiring SDEs and Manager/Director in all different domains to build a new shopping website to serve more than million of customers. You will have opportunities to learn how to build large system with high scalability and availability. We are hiring Frontend/Backend/Machine Learning/UI/UX/IOS/Android engineers. You would have lots of opportunities to explore new technologies and state of art machine learning algorithms to build software application from scratch in Michaels. We currently have more than 200 opennings in all different levels. We are also sponsoring H1B and Green Card.

Catalog Team:
This will be the central team to manage all product information in Michaels. The catalog team will provide data service to other tech teams in Michaels, including Search, Recommendation, Advertisement, etc. You will have opportunity to learn and build relational database, knowledge graph, etc with more than millions of products. You will also have opportunity to learn and build real time catalog system from scratch.

Search Team:
You will build the core search service on both website and mobile application with state of art technologies including deep learning. Search always generate the most revenue in online retail, the impact is extremely large in the whole company.

Recommendation Team:
This team will be managing all content on Michaels, where you can build personalized recommendation system with more than millions of products and customers. Half of content on Website/App will be managed by this team. In this team, you can learn and build real time recommendation system with deep learning and deep reinforcement learning.

另外大家关心的package问题，如果是Tier1 school的STEM专业，package match FAANG. Experienced的很难有一定标准，如果聊完之后经历很匹配，package也会相应很高。

回答大家几个问题。
Why Michaels?
a: Michaels是全美手工艺品线下零售商的第一，目前有1200家店，年销售50亿美金，公司盈利良好，财务稳定。Michaels有极大的决心进军线上零售业。同时因为COVID，Leadership看到了线上更大的潜力，线上的销售额也在持续上涨。所以公司决定大额投入线上，需要一套更完善的系统来支持线上销售。如大家所见，所有的web/app/content/etc全部重建。我们有很多不同岗位的open, 前端，后端，app，算法，BI，架构，UI/UX，各个级别都有openning。目前remote, COVID后需要到达拉斯office。
b: 和大厂相比，好处是您可以独立开发一套系统，并不局限于某一个小的feature。从职业生涯的长期来看，一开始就在搭建系统，而不是在别人的系统上修修补补，学习和成长的机会会有很多。而且ops极少，您可以用更多的时间去研发新的系统，学习和使用最先进的技术。同时，对于T1学校的毕业生和很优秀的毕业生，我们完全match faang。对于有经验的人，您可以有管理团队和tech lead的机会，package优厚。
c: 和startup相比，我们的优势在于稳定。Tech部门比较新，但是线下是全美第一，公司和部门的稳定性也有保障。
d: 目前面试流程极简，1轮面试会涵盖算法和您的背景来问问题。offer一般会在1-2天之内发出。从您面试的opportunity cost来说，也是很低。
e: Impact大。从无到有很容易去deliver result。相应的，在您deliver项目之后，升职也会很快速。
