I appreciate your effort to bring up this topic again, but to be real there is no need to make this kind of comparison.
Let's cut the crap and dive into the reality directly. The U.S now is one of the globe’s worst hot spots due to the great leadership of MEGA president administration, which pretty much just leaves each state to do its own job. Meanwhile back in China, things are getting better and actually people there support its government decision over containing COVID-19, despite the controversy of human-right which mainstream media loves to call out. Moreover, Chinese ppl are much more self-protective and follow the rule tightly. Taking the recent outbreak in Beijing for example. Assume Chinese government didn't do anything when they detected hundreds of new cases, ppl living in Beijing might lock down themselves when they hear the news, and that's how different people react to this virus.
The fact is, you don't really want to compare any country with the US about dealing with this pandemic. When you look at other countries (esp Asian ones like Japan, Thailand, South Korea etc), you will find that they treat COVID-19 much more serious than the US, partly because they experienced SARS before, and partly because they don't have as much as media and political BS. I don't get why people argue about the US is not doing too bad. Well, it is too bad, bad af. TBH, I don't see any sign that COVID-19 might end this year in the US without a valid vaccine. Other countries would freak out with a slight jump in their confirmed cases, and meanwhile in the US a lot of ppl simply don't give a shit about this virus, even if we already past 2 f***ing million. I am sure you can still find ppl saying this is no big deal and just like flu...
The last thing which I found terribly ironic is that when Trump took over the office, he wanted to build a wall to prevent Mexicans coming in and now here we are, foreigners want to keep Americans out of their countries. EU is still pondering if they want to ban US visitors and they will make a decision on July 1st.
There are many good things about the US, but don't blind yourself especially if it has anything to do with China. The way US handles Covid-19 is a joke.
