用BOA cashier's check 的朋友们不要太担心，根据USCIS 的 2019-24366 号文件，check只要dated no more than 365 days before the receipt date, 就不会被reject。 具体原文如下：

'In addition, DHS proposes that it may reject a request that is accompanied by a check that is dated more than 365 days before the receipt date. Currently, USCIS policy is to reject a check that is dated more than a year before it is submitted.  However, that policy is not codified, and DHS has been sued or threatened with litigation multiple times when a check that was dated more than a year before it was submitted was the basis of a rejection that caused the requestor to miss an important deadline. '

'Although commercial banks use a guideline of six months, DHS proposes to reject ONLY year-old checks to provide requestors with more flexibility in case there are delays with their filing. Rejecting a check that is dated more than a year earlier is also consistent with the time limit for a check issued by the U.S. Treasury. Rejection of a stale check will not be mandatory, so USCIS will still have the authority to waive the check date requirement in exigent circumstances.'
