异地工作一段时间需要递交H1B Amendment吗

如题，因为健康原因需要到别州（距离工作地超过50 miles）去照顾家属，已得到领导们的同意，目前是h1b身份已经extend过，不知道法律上是否一定要求递交h1b amendment? 有哪些要注意的问题，例如税务等。

请有经验的朋友们帮忙解答一下，谢谢！

While it is permissible to work from home during this pandemic, you must remain within the same Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) which is generally within 100-miles of the location stated on your LCA. If you are working outside this area, even temporarily, you may no longer have valid work authorization.  For this reason, we must insist ALL visa holders stay in the area of the office where their work authorization is filed.   Failure to do so requires an amended H-1B to be filed on your behalf which is an added expense and one we are not in a situation to absorb.

If you have moved, even temporarily, you need to return to the area where your work authorization is valid.  Your address must not be changed, and you must be available in the area in the event your case is selected under a random USCIS audit.

按理来说是需要amendment的，但你这个是temp（短时间内）不是permanent，所以我认为问题不大，不提交也可以。最好还是咨询下公司hr
主要是你保险跟报税的问题，毕竟还在你原来的州

一般来说如果超过2个月可能就要file amendment了。建议还是咨询一下律师，保险一点。
