Position Information:
The Department of Chemistry & Bioinspired Institute at Syracuse University is seeking a post-doctoral scholar to conduct research on the development of functional organic materials for drug delivery and others.


Required skills:
The ideal candidates will have expertise in one or more of the following areas: drug delivery, polymer chemistry, organic materials, biomaterials
Preferred skills:
Organic and polymer synthesis, experience with in vitro/in vivo studies, experience with lipids/nucleic acids/ELISA
Start date: October 2022 - June 2023

Some of the responsibilities include:
Design, synthesis, and characterization of small molecules and macromolecules.
Construct and characterize nanoparticles for optimal performance as drug delivery vehicles or sensors.
Analyze and interpret obtained data.
Draft manuscripts for publication.

The initial appointment will be for one year and is full time and benefitted, with potential for renewal for the following years, pending annual review of performance and continued availability of funding.
