是否有pd+h1b后不怕被裁员?即使h1b extension或者h1b 6 year max-out ，让新公司重新file h1b extension即可？最差可以回国找工作再重新入境即可？（只要能找到公司，比方保底是non-profit的）。

肯定是怕的, 首先目前这个形式回国想找美国的工作, 估计要等经济好起来, 可能也是 2, 3 年后了, 职业规划肯定受到影响, 不过你要是正好回国结个婚那也挺好的.

其次, 2, 3 年后回来, 首先看你 6 年 h1b 还剩几年, 要是才刚开始还好 (但一般有 140 的也差不多工作了好几年了在第二个 h1b 3 年了吧)

一般 pd 不 current, 有 140 还是可以再 file 3 年的. 但是离开美国几年了万一 pd current 了就很难了.

情况 3) 就是要证明没提交 485 是 out of your control, 这也许是很多 140 current  h1b 也能延期1 年说法的由来, 但是也是 ymmv, 由 uscis 决定. 有明确规定的就是上面 2 个情况, file 了 485 pending, 或者有新 perm file 超过 1 年.

所以实在是没有 485 pending 或者 perm file 超过 1 年, 就靠 ymmv, 找新雇主, 他们愿意给你 file h1b transfer 哪家过了就去哪家也许是唯一的选择了. 或者你留住原雇主, 让他们提供 out of control 的证明来 complete uscis 一下

综上,
1) 要是 pd 已经就 current, 公司耽搁了没 file 485, 不得不回国, 基本上就很难了, 要重新抽 h1b 的签.
2) 要是 pd 19 年下半年, 20 年上半年的就风险比较大, 因为2, 3 年后 你 pd 也差不多 current 了, 除非能回国后很快半年一年内找到工作过来.
3) pd 20 年下半年的风险也应该不大, pd 要 current 估计得 2024, 2025 保守估计.
4) pd 21, 22 年的问题不大. 21 年 的 pd current 要 2025 之后了, 那时候要回美国早回来了.

pd current 或者快 current 的小伙伴一定要在境内gou住, 不管是 f1, h4 啥方法, 在境内还是能靠 ymmv 找愿意冒风险的 employer 给你 file transfer 有机会 extend 一年的.

我自己一个人确实不担心，但是重点是“带着狗子” :)

想复杂了，狗也好处理（狗能比人复杂？比人复杂那建议别处理了，还别说这些物种潜在携带各种致病因素——好吧，我个人就是觉得这些宠物脏，不太喜欢——其实我有点洁癖还是忽略我这种comment）

起码对我自己是，我有h1b+pd，最怕的不是真的没工作了而是带着狗子跨国搬家

说实话搬家一星期都能搞定（只要不要核酸提前测）。

回国 从国内找美国的工作 理论上可行 但是操作起来很费劲的 这个很难的 因为雇主要等好几个月 国内面签也需要时间
