Research Overview:  Dr. Kuang's research emphasizes computational psychometrics, leveraging machine learning to enhance personalized assessments and guidance. Dr. Kuang collaborates with top institutions like University of Florida, University of California, Merced, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and American University. She actively assists her students in securing internships and post-graduation employment.
About Dr. Kuang: She is an Assistant Professor in FSU's Measurement and Statistics program. Dr. Kuang holds a Ph.D. in Research and Evaluation Methodology and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Florida, along with an M.Ed. from the University of Hong Kong. Her research focuses on:
1.        Utilizing Recurrent Neural Networks and Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers to analyze response process data (log data) in large-scale assessments and virtual learning environments.
2.        Enhancing computer adaptive testing, automated grading, and personalized feedback systems with response process data.
Her contributions appear in journals such as Large-scale Assessments in Education, Computers & Education, and Structural Equation Modeling.

Admission Requirements:
•        Open to candidates from diverse scientific backgrounds, including mathematics, statistics, computer science, and engineering.
