Mostly undergrads if in US
Could be a lot in China. ..
Generally MBB recruit from top ivy college and MBA program
If you have solid it skills or currently big data skill set they have positions for you to compete.. 1point 3acres
And Ph.D. at any major.
If you want to go to EY , do MsE in Columbia university,
I think I have mentioned some for Gatech i.e. Placement
Mostly logistics and supply chain traditional I.E. Planning
Amazon UPs USPS Coca Cola
Reddewerks(supply chain)
Of course you to switch to consulting after that. Consulting also need experts in Supply chain and logistics.
Management consulting is very boring, doing slides all day long. Mostly u are pretending you know things u never understand. Even after I came to internal leadership team, I found that it is hard for someone to make influence and lead the shift without at least 10 years experience, on average 20, 30 or more.

Technical consulting a little bit better if u know coding well, and math.
I was enthusiastic about consulting as you guys are . Ever thought about why? I was because it sounds cool and get well paid. When you are a fresh grad you want a job with highest starting salary. After that you gonna think very very differently. If someone gonna think beyond that when she or he is in school, he/she will be phoenomenon.
.
U should have a better understanding of what u are looking for.
Most of Chinese F1 students graduated from traditional IE master program who went to consulting firms, went to local mid sized or private owned small firms. Sometimes the pay is good or even better. I know people in mid size companies getting higher salary than Deloitte NYC and EY
I think the primary hiring company is EY for big name.
Local offices for Deloitte and ZS may works if your school has the connection,
My classmate went to Goldman Saches. Not headquarter.
Local office is much easier,
Normally they hire grad students as analyst , not consultant, So the pay is just average. Not as great as the term consulting sounds. Their standard salary you heard on news are for Top MBA programs.
But it may be a good way to get into top MBA (actually I heard that SDE is easier)
Anyway , I should have been in the industry at first. |
