小秘的回答：It is in the applicant’s best interest to submit, with the application, the financial documentation required of all international students. If an applicant sends the financial documentation after the application deadline or after he/she receives word that the application has been recommended for admission, this could cause serious delays in the admission process as well as the visa documentation process.

Please indicate on the International Applicant Coversheet or International Student Data Form below the checklist if you will be applying for financial aid and are not including financial documentation. If in the event you are recommended for admission without financial aid, you would need to provide financial documentation before you would receive official admission and begin the visa process.

我的分析：BU要求所有的国际生都要邮寄 International Applicant Coversheet 或者 International Student Data Form，前者是在网申时填写完基本信息后可以自行打印的，后者就是pdf表格。两者作用一致，择其一即可。我觉得小秘的意思是如果打算申奖那可以先不交财产证明，但要在 International Applicant Coversheet 或者 International Student Data Form里注明。

一般的招生信息：
Admittance to the program is very competitive as we receive 400+ applications and can only admit 15-20 new students each year.  The average student admitted has a GPA of 3.5+, a GRE Quantitative score of 750+(169), and a strong mathematical background including linear algebra and advanced calculus.

然后录取的大致时间进程（至少今年2013FALL的）:
The review process starts in late January and admittance letters will go out in late February through mid-April.  You will receive an e-mail followed by a letter in the mail.  Denials will not be sent until May.

My TOEFL score is 112, with my listening score 30,reading score 30, writing score 29, and speaking score 23. Can I still applyfor the program?

小秘的回答：Thank you for your recent enquiry about the Masters of Environmental Studies program in Environment and Resource Studies.   

You can still apply for the program with your TOEFL Score, the Faculty of Enviroments TOEFL requirements are  minimum score of 100, with minimum skill scores of 26 in each of speaking and writing. As you meet the minimum overall requirement if accepted into the program you would be required to complete an English Course.

UP的工程学院网页上，在GRE送分那里没提department code的事情，但是在TOEFL那里写了具体数字。由于说明并不清楚，不知道以什么为准，还是GT成绩不同，所以我发了邮件去问小秘。

Dear Sir./Madam,

I had my GRE and TOEFL scores sent to the University of Pittsburgh but I did not select the department code so that they were not received by the School of Swanson.  Do I have to send my scores once again?

The department code is not required.  As long as the University code of 2927 is used, we will be able to retrieve the test scores.
