UIUC ME 不用失学了

昨晚半夜居然拿到了UIUC！！！终于不用失学了！！GRE一直不出分，就很崩溃，本来背景就不是很强，而且没有什么科研，UIUC已经是冲刺校了。感谢三分地、感谢我的文书老师，也希望能鼓励一直不出分的同学们坚持不要放弃吧！

本来以为是ms的同录，但总之恭喜了！

Prof. Lili Cai is looking for highly motivated students who would like to pursue Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Science and Engineering at University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign. Ideal candidates are expected to have strong academic backgrounds in one of the following disciplines: materials science, mechanical engineering, chemistry/chemical engineering, physics, etc. Successful candidates will be fully funded with competitive assistantship. Postdoc and visiting students/scholars are also welcome. Interested candidates please email your CV, transcript, and publications (if any) to lilicai@stanford.edu.



Short bio:

Prof. Lili Cai is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering at University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign starting in 2019. Her research interest is centered at the intersection of thermal science, nanotechnology and advanced manufacturing, with the goal to develop innovative energy and wearable technologies that can enable a sustainable future and improve the well-being of society. She received her M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University (advised by Prof. Xiaolin Zheng), and her B.S. in Materials Chemistry from University of Science and Technology of China. Her PhD research focused on developing scalable flame synthesis methods to advance the application of nanomaterials in solar water splitting, catalysis and electronics. During 2016-2018, she was a postdoctoral fellow advised by Prof. Yi Cui in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University, working on novel materials with advanced thermal radiation properties for personal thermal management.
