TheIntelligent Autonomous Systems Lab (http://ualr.edu/cxye/laboratory.htm) of the University of Arkansasat Little Rockhas one Ph.D. student opening for Fall 2013. The successful candidate will beinvolved in a NASA funded project and develop 3D computer vision methods forrobot navigation. We will use a 3D Flash LIDAR Camera to collect intensity andrange data for autonomous navigation. This position will be supported by aResearch Assistantship. The student will work together with a postdoc funded bythe same grant. The research team will work on a wide range of researchproblems on robot vision, including 6-DOF pose estimation by computer vision,terrain mapping, 3D data segmentation, and autonomous navigation. Generalguideline of admission to graduate study is referred to http://ualr.edu/enss/. The labcurrently hosts research funded by the National Science Foundation and NASA andsupports 4 Ph.D. students and 1 Master student. A postdoc and 1-2 Ph.D.students will join the lab in Fall 2013.
