[ECE/CS] 21Fall (21Spring) PhD positions, Deep learning/big data. Purdue School.

Lab Introduction:
The Ubiquitous Embedded Intelligence Lab has openings for PhD students. Our Electrical and Computer Engineering department is in Purdue School of Engineering and Technology, on the joint Indianapolis campus of Purdue and Indiana University. Purdue degree will be awarded.

Our lab focuses on the cutting-edge artificial intelligence, deep learning, machine learning, big data and wearable computer technologies for various big data applications, such as image processing, precision health, IoT big data, smart world big data, and others.

Expectation on Applicants:
Students from broad EECS schools and departments or related areas are welcome to contact our lab for further information. Applicants are expected to have basic knowledge of machine learning, and have a great passion to the AI/data science/machine learning area. Python or matlab experience is a plus.

The Ph.D. position will be fully funded as an Research Assistant position, covering monthly salary, medical insurance and tuition.

The openings are for 21Fall. But special considerations and application process will be given if you can start from 21Spring - we have a new research project on AI big data that can provide positions right now.

Indianapolis area:
Indianapolis is the fourth largest state capital in US. It is also the 12th largest city in US, just after Chicago in the middle-west. It has convenient transportation to neighbor cities, like 2 hour 40 min to Chicago. The large Indianapolis area has about 2 million people, with many international students and employees.
