As people pay an increasing attention to organization or club activities, some others begin to hesitate whether the activities of organizations is of the same importance with academic class. Surprisingly, some individuals still claim that knowledge obtained from academic class is much more significant than that of outdoor activities. From my perspective, however, those activities take exactly the same importance with academic lesson, for application of knowledge in reality and higher chance to make new friends.

To begin with, club activities enable students to apply what they have learned from classes into reality. Specifically, when ones come out a fresh idea, they may have no chance to employ their knowledge to accomplish it in class, because of the limitation of class time. On the other hand, organization activities may equip them with the ability to finish the new idea. For instance, Oracle Club of my university Northeastern University will offer its members equipment to carry out their creative ideas and provide them with opportunity to find potential teammates to realize their ideas. Under this circumstance, students can easily put their ideas into force and lay a solid foundation of what they have learned from the class.

In addition to applying ones’ ideas into reality, higher possibility to make new friends are provided by organization activities. As we all know, friendship is one of most essential part of our life. In the process of activities, students more or less meet some new people, giving them more chances to make friends with them. It can bee seen from the fact that a friend of mine Jim, who is longing for participating campus activities, has a large amount of friends, most of whom is made when he took part in activities. Just as he once said, “Joining an activity will not only make your college life colorful, it will also bring you an amazing gift -- friends”.

However, we have to admit that academic class is crucial for a student as well. Our knowledge is primarily from the book taught in the class. Without academic class, we can hardly learn all these subjects, such as math language, science and so on, by ourselves. Nevertheless, without application of the knowledge in reality, it is even useless for ones.

To sum up, although academic class play an important role in students’ schooltime, given the application of the knowledge and more chances offered during the club activities, those activities are also an indispensable part in their schooltime.
