Research interests: deep learning, reinforcement learning, statistical machine learning, nonconvex & distributed optimization, statistical signal processing

Prospective students: Students with part of the following backgrounds are encouraged to apply:

Solid theoretical background in machine learning, optimization & control, mathematics and statistics, or experienced coding in deep learning, computer vision, NLP. There is no preference on the students' undergrad/grad major.

Position: Fully-funded RA position

Target academic venues: NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, JMLR, AAAI, etc.
