Multiple PhD positions are available in the i-Sensor Lab in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Alabama. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team to develop sensors/instrumentation for environmental monitoring and/or microfluidic devices for physiological measurement and other emerging applications.

The candidate should have the following qualifications.
1. A BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or other closely related engineering disciplines.
2. Good hands-on experience
3. Good English writing and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications: Skills in one or more of the following areas are preferred.
Thin film deposition
Microsystem design
Machine learning
Labview/Matlab Programing
