Yukun Yuan (https://www.yukunyuan.org/) joined the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in Fall 2022. He is seeking self-motivated Ph.D. students to work on interdisciplinary research among Cyber-Physical Systems, Internet-of-Things (IoT), Control, as well as machine learning. Successful applicants will be fully funded by the RA/TA positions, covering tuition, monthly salary, and medical insurance. The requirements are as follows:
• Undergraduate or graduate students in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control, or related majors;
• Solid mathematical backgrounds and/or strong programming skills in Python/C++;
• Hands-on experiences in data analytic algorithms and machine learning (preferred);
• Have taken courses in the areas of machine learning/statistics optimization/linear algebra (preferred);

Yukun Yuan is a tenure-track assistant professor of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He obtained my Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering at Stony Brook University working with Professor Shan Lin in 2022. He got my bachelor’s degree of Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) in 2015 with a major in Computer Science.
During his Ph.D. study, Yukun Yuan has published 11 first-authored papers in top journals and conferences, including TMC, ICDCS, SECON, ICCPS, TCPS, and ACM e-Energy.
