It's true that USCIS could realize that your employment information has changed in the SEVIS database and request a copy of your new I-20, but we don't think this is very likely, and even if they do, you will have all the necessary documentation to resolve this. I would not view this as a disincentive to changing jobs if you want to change jobs.
